TPCA in Kolín became Toyota Motor Manufacturing Czech Republic

The factory will modernize its production line and focus on hybrid technology as well

As of 1st of January 2021, the TCPA (Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech) factory placed in Kolín in the Central Bohemia was officially acquired by Toyota. The name of the factory will be Toyota Motor Manufacturing Czech Republic (TMMCZ) from now on. The factory will focus on the manufacturing of small cars of both Toyota and PSA concern brands, just like before the transfer of the ownership. The factory has begun its production in 2005, focusing on models Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 108 and Citroën C1. The company plans to invest up to CZK 4 billion into modernization of the factory and extension of production capacity. Furthermore, the factory will start to manufacture new Toyota Yaris model equipped with hybrid technology during this year, which will be the first time the hybrid technology will be used in the production of Kolín factory.
