Dopravní podnik hl. m. Prahy (DPP)
plans to purchase at least 69 driverless units for the automated C and D lines
of the Prague underground system. The investment totals almost CZK 25bn(CND
$1.5 bilion) . This information follows from the conclusions of the first
round of preliminary consultations with companies that reacted to DPP and that
could participate in the order. These companies are Alstom Transport, AŽD
Praha, Bombardier Transportation, Hitachi Rail, Inekon Group, Siemens Mobility,
Stadler Rail Management, Škoda Transportation and Thales. DPP spokeswoman Aneta
