AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE will deliver the first six massproduced L-39NG aircraft to customers, in 2021 it will deliver 12. As of 2022 it should be able to ship 20 aircraft per year. The light training fighter jet should get its type certification by the end of 2019. The company will also produce four pre-series L-39NG for tests. The four of them will in the summer participate in development flights and it should subsequently be handed over to LOM Praha. This was stated for ČIANEWS by spokesman Tobiáš Tvrdík. He added that in coming months the company will supply the Czech army with an upgraded two-seat version L-159T2. In 2018 it introduced the F/A-259 Striker. It is based on the construction of the L-159 but it will be equipped with a so-called wet wing with an integrated tank and the newest avionics from Israeli company IAI.
