The Czech economy is increasingly dependent on foreign labour.

The Czech economy is increasingly dependent on foreign labor, foreign workers made up 12% of the labour force in 2019. The number of permanent residents in the Czech Republic is now almost 300 000 registered persons. The statistic do not include temporary residents, mainly citizens of the European union. According to the Czech Statistical Office, foreigners are not disciminated, there is not wage inequality between Czech citizens and foreigners. In some qualified positions foreigners achieve significantly higher wages.
