Government support to the Czech economy reached 127,7 billion CZK in the beginning of July 2020. 83,2 billion went for the support for the Czech citizens and the companies. According to Czech minister of finance Alena Schillerova, the volume of the financial support will be continuing, as some of the programs are going to be extended. The Czech Minister of Industry and Trade stated, that in the past three months the government allocated more resources to support the economy because of the COVID-19 than the state provided during the entire economy crisis of 2008 till 2010. At the same time, he reported an increase in investment in transport infrastructure from 95 billion CZK to 125 billion CZK.
