Unemployment still at 4.3%; more jobs than seekers

The Czech Republic has the second lowest unemployment rate in the EU.

As of February 28, 2021, the Czech Labour Office (ÚP) registered 311,463 job seekers, up 2,604 m/m and 84,094 y/y. Of the total number of the unemployed, 293,154 were available seekers. The share of the unemployed remained at 4.3% (January 2021: 4.3%; February 2020: 3%). Employers offered 330,735 job vacancies through labour offices. According to the Eurostat data for January, in an international comparison, the Czech Republic had the second lowest unemployment rate in the entire EU.
