Czech foreign trade surplus fell to CZK 6.2bn

The balance of foreign trade in goods at current prices ended in January 2022 with a surplus of CZK 6.2bn. It was CZK 18.6bn lower y/y.

The balance of foreign trade in goods at current prices ended in
January 2022 with a surplus of CZK 6.2bn. It was CZK 18.6bn lower
y/y. The Czech Statistical Office informed about it. The overall
balance was adversely affected mainly by a CZK 7.2bn higher deficit
in trade in oil and natural gas due to rising prices on world markets.
Exports increased by 12.9 % to CZK 336.7bn and imports by 20.9
% to CZK 330.5bn.
