Convergence Programme of the Czech Republic describes the intentions and goals of the economic policy for the years 2021 to 2024.

The Czech government has passed the Convergence Programme of the Czech Republic, prepared each year based on Article 121 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU and Council Regulation on strengthening the surveillance of budgetary positions and the surveillance and co-ordination of economic policies. It describes the intentions and goals of the economic policy for the years 2021 to 2024. It will be sent to the European Commission for review and to the Council of the EU for issuing recommendations. Finance Minister Alena Schillerová (for ANO) said that the programme’s alternative scenario counted on a revised tax mix, including excise tax, revised taxation of global corporations, and a consistent reduction of tax exemptions. It also counts on a different expectation regarding the implementation of European projects.
