The representatives of agricultural organizations of the mentioned countries demand from the European Commission an immediate halt to the import of agricultural and food products from Ukraine to Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. They are also asking for restrictions on the transit of agricultural products from Ukraine through these countries and an urgent intervention for the purchase of existing EU grain stocks with a simultaneous increase in the intervention price to 300 euros/t. Economic measures must be introduced, as cheap goods from Ukraine seriously threaten the stability of farmers across the EU.
