The first LNG terminal put into operation in Europe after the start of the war in Ukraine is gradually moving into full operation. After its opening on September 8, 2022 and the arrival of the Murex tanker with the so-called opening cargo, the first ship with a cargo of liquefied gas for ČEZ also arrived in Eemshaven in the Netherlands. It is a Gaslog Georgetown tanker that arrived from the USA. The cargo of 170,000 m3 of LNG set off on August 23 from the Sabine Pass terminal in the Gulf of Mexico. Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Síkela (for STAN) said that the gas that the Czech Republic will get thanks to this LNG terminal will help the country cope with the coming winter.
