The European Parliament (EP) approved a new provision aimed at ensuring fair competition.

On November 10, 2022, the European Parliament (EP) approved a new provision aimed at ensuring fair competition in the single market. The new regulation allows the European Commission (EC) to investigate subsidies granted by non-EU countries to companies operating in the EU market. If the EC finds that foreign subsidies distort competition, it can apply measures to correct the imbalance.
