Czech truckmaker TATRA TRUCKS plans to expand into Latin American markets. CZECHOSLOVAK GROUP (CSG) informed the the group´s major company TATRA TRUCKS specifically plans to build a factory in the Brazilian state of Paraná in the city of Ponta Grossa.
Initially, about 225 vehicles should be produced here annually, and by 2025, the plant is expected to reach its maximum capacity of 800 trucks p.a. Investment in the new factory is estimated BRL 102 million. The city of Ponta Grossa was chosen for its strategic location, close to branches of many global manufacturers. This step will significantly facilitate TATRA's entry into the market of South America and Africa.
