Czech companies Prusa Research and Kiwi.com ranked in the top five of the Technology Fast 500 EMEA ranking of the fastest growing companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In total, seven companies from the Czech Republic entered the ranking, which is two more than in the previous year. This was stated by Deloitte, which compiled the ranking.
The ranking is based on a comparison of companies' turnover over the last five years.
Prusa Research finished third with a growth rate of 17,122 percent over the last four years, fifth was Kiwi.com reaching 14,380 percent (the winner is the Swedish Strossle International AB, which operates in the media industry, and increased sales by 19,900 percent).
Prusa Research is a 3D printer manufacturer, founded in 2012 and now employs more than 400 people (more than 60 in the development team). Company is world leader in the manufacture of 3D home printers and it exports to 160 countries.
Kiwi.com sells tickets to various carriers, a majority stake in the company is held by the US General Atlantic Fund, the rest by founder and CEO Oliver Dlouhý.
The five other Czech companies that scored in the EMEA region are Pilulka Distribution (59th, 1682 percent), Proficio Marketing (84th, 1229 percent), Zoot (185th, 513 percent), Creative Dock (406th) , 186 percent) and IDEA StatiCa / IDEA RS (424th place, 178 percent).
The UK (118) has the highest ranking of the top 500 fastest growing companies in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, followed by the Netherlands (82) and Sweden (49). The companies in the ranking come this year from 18 countries. The average growth rate of these companies in 2018 was 969 percent.
