Toyota fully takes over Czech city Kolín-based car manufacturer Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile / TPCA with effect from January 1, 2021. The plant will continue to produce Toyota AYGO and PSA cars Peugeot 108 a Citroen C1, and in 2021 its portfolio will be expanded with a new Toyota Yaris car with hybrid drive on the new TNGA platform. The new carmaker will be called Toyota Motor Manufacturing Czech Republic. The company will do business under the trade name TMMCZ, following the example of other European plants.
Since the start of production in 2005, almost 4 million of these car triplets produced in the Czech Republic and very popular also in Israel have found their satisfied customers in Europe and other countries.
