Automated factory producing Czech Li-ion batteries opened near Havířov, Czech Republic

The Magna Energy Storage has opened a new completely robotized and automated factory producing Czech Li-ion batteries HE3DA with an initial capacity of 1.2 GWh a year, ready to be extended.

The Magna Energy Storage (MES) factory producing Czech Li-Ion batteries HE3DA will be officially opened in Horní Suchá near Havířov on September 17, 2020. The production technology HE3DA will be one of the first being completely robotized and automated. The processes comply with conditions of the Industry 4.0.

The batteries will serve as an energy bank for the storage of power. In the next phase, MES will prepare the use in electric cars. The factory has a capacity of 1.2 GWh a year and it is ready to extend its production. Its key partners are EXELSIOR ENGINEERING, who will provide technology know-how, and HE3DA, the owner of patents and researcher in the field of technology and its application in production.
