Communication industry will see decrease in turnover

The communication industry expects a decrease by 50 %

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the communication industry


expects a decrease in its turnover by up to 50%, e. by CZK 85bn.


This will mean an outage of tax income for the state of over CZK


12bn only from end entities. This was agreed by ten associations


active in the segment. Their announcement was published by the


Association of Communication Agencies. The professional


associations expect a decrease in the number of jobs by 25% and


a decrease in the segment of self-employers by up to 40% from


about 100,000 people. This will cause another outage for the state


at nearly CZK 5bn a year.
