Budvar increased production to 1.73m hl
In 2020, Budweiser Budvar increased its beer production by 3.06
% y/y to 1.73m hl. It spent CZK 410m on investments and continued
to modernize. In its annual report, the company further informed
that it increased its net turnover y/y to CZK 3.07bn from CZK 3.0bn.
Profit after tax increased to CZK 305m from CZK 278.07m. The
launch of the Budvar 33 lager on the Czech market helped it achieve
good results. The pandemic created space for higher demand in the
off trade segment, which the brewery used mainly in the German
market. The share of sales of bottled beer predominates there.
