Liberty Steel has reached an agreement with unions on strategy

Group Liberty Steel and the management of Liberty Ostrava have signed an agreement with unions about the company’s future.

 

 

 

The owner of the Ostrava steelworks, group Liberty Steel, and the

 

management of Liberty Ostrava have signed an agreement with

 

unions about the company’s future. The agreement stipulates

 

minimum annual production of steel and ensures the operation of

 

companies that were part of the sale. In it Liberty Steel pledges to

 

maintain employment. The agreement also includes commitments

 

to investments and extension of the collective agreement until 2023.

 

The company should continue with talks about the purchase of

 

energy company TAMEH Czech, which remained the property of the

 

joint venture of the former steelworks owner, group ArcelorMittal,

 

 

 

and Polish holding Tauron. q
