Two projects of Masaryk University (MU)’s CEITEC have received
over CZK 100m from the ERC-CZ programme for research into
bacterial or viral infections. One team will look into new molecules
that can help resolve bacteria’s growing resistance to antibiotics.
The second group will investigate mechanisms of viral infections, in
particular the issue of overwriting their genetic information in an
infected cell. Both projects are planned for five years.
