Defence company OMNIPOL is buying Aircraft Industries from the Russian owner of the Kunovice manufacturer of civilian transport aircraft.

Czech company OMNIPOL is buying Aircraft Industries from the Russian owner of the Kunovice manufacturer of civilian transport aircraft. On April 21, 2022, both parties agreed to sell 100 % of the shares in the OMPO holding. In November 2021, a strategic cooperation on foreign markets was signed between the OMNIPOL Group and Aircraft Industries. It got into a dangerous situation after the imposition of sanctions on Russia, which formed its core market. In cooperation with OMNIPOL, after the signing of the agreement, business cooperation began to develop to replace supplies outside the Russian Federation. Both companies anticipate concluding new aircraft supply contracts (the main products are L 410 and L 410 NG) in the coming months of 2022.
