Czech Tatra Trucks gets on supplying vehicles to India.

Tatra Trucks posted EBITDA of CZK 509m with turnover in excess of CZK 5.5bn in 2020. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, it posted the best financial result in the past three years. The company did not interrupt production for a single day and managed to cover temporary supplier black-outs by means of operative re-assembling. Key components, such as engines, cabins and chassis, can be produced on site. In 2021, Tatra wants to maintain production and sales comparable with 2020. An important item on its plan will also be the production of several hundred CKD sets (disassembled vehicles) for the Indian market, from which a local manufacturer assembles complete vehicles. As ČIANEWS reported earlier, Tatra produced 1,181 vehicles in 2020 and sold 1,186 trucks. Almost 60% of its production was exported, over 40% went to the Czech and Slovak markets.
