Industrial prices are currently being reduced primarily due to the decrease in prices of crude oil.

This was stated by Komerční banka’s economist Michal Brožka in relation with data provided by the Czech Statistical Office. The depreciating Czech crown and problems with supplies cause a growth in prices in other segments, said Mr. Brožka. Raiffeisenbank’s analyst Luboš Růžička thinks that the inflation in the manufacturing segment will return to positive values in 2H 2020, when the economies will be closing on the gap caused by the pandemic. He thinks that the prices in the manufacturing segment will stagnate in 2020.
