The Czech automotive industry experienced a recovery in June 2020, however, 32.5% fewer motor vehicles were produced year-on-year in H1 2020.

This stems from the statistics of the Association of the Automotive Industry (AutoSAP). The production of passenger cars reached 503,615 units (-32.6%), of which ŠKODA AUTO produced 337,580 (-28.2%). The decline in production caused by the coronavirus pandemic was due to a gradual increase in production in June, when the carmaker produced 73,991 cars. Hyundai produced 96,390 vehicles (-39.9%), TPCA 69,645 small cars (-40.3%).
