ČTÚ auctioned 5G frequencies for CZK 5.596bn

The Czech Telecommunication Office (ČTÚ) has completed the auction phase of the tender for the granting of rights to use radio frequencies in the 700 MHz and 3400–3600 MHz bands.

The total revenue is CZK 5.596bn. O2 Czech Republic acquired a 2x10 MHz block in the 700 MHz band. Additional units in the 700 MHz band were acquired by T-Mobile Czech Republic and Vodafone Czech Republic. The 20 MHz units in the 3400-3600 MHz band, linked with the obligation to lease frequencies to support Industry 4.0, were acquired by O2 Czech Republic and CentroNet. Other successful bidders were T-Mobile Czech Republic, Vodafone Czech Republic and Nordic Telecom 5G.
