The Automobile Importers Association (SDA) called on the representatives of the Czech Republic to more actively support ecological transport.

Sales of ecological cars in the Czech Republic are below the EU average. While the registration of electrified cars in the EU reached 11.4 % in 2020, the Czech Republic recorded 2.6 %. The SDA therefore presented a proposal to effectively support lowemission cars along the lines of neighboring countries. It proposes to support the purchase of vehicles that meet the rules for the issue of SS "EL" (0 to 50 g CO2/km), for a limited period of 24 months. Vehicles with zero emissions should receive CZK 200,000, vehicles with emissions up to 50 g CO2/km CZK 100,000, and both by reducing non-monetary benefits for users of company cars and for private purposes from 1 % to 0.5 % per month.
