Czech Labour Market: 8% of employers predict growth in employees, unemployment grows in November

Predicting growth in labour force in 1Q 2021

According to Manpower group, a total of 8% of Czech employers predict growth in their labour force in 1Q 2021. A decrease is predicted by 9% of employers and 77% expect no changes. This stems from a survey published by ManpowerGroup. The net labour market index for the Czech Republic shows the value of -1%. It is +1% after the seasonal adjustment. According to ManpowerGroup ČR a SR CEO Jaroslava Rezlerová, massive departures of employees from catering, a frozen labour market in the manufacturing industry and recruitments in ecommerce and logistics can be seen on the market. As of November 30, 2020, the Labour Office of the Czech Republic (ÚP) registered a total of 274,526 applicants. This was 2,841 persons up m/m and 77,237 persons up y/y. It has been the highest November value since 2016 when the office registered 362,755 unemployed. A total of 255,837 applicants were available.
