Czech start-up Snuggs won third place in the international final of the Creative Business Cup competition. This took place from 1 to 2 July 2019 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Over sixty participants from all over the world presented their creative ideas to the jury.
Linda Šejdová and Tomáš Zahradník develop within the Snuggs project menstrual pants made of nanofibers, which serve as a full-value replacement of hygiene needs for women. The project went to the global finals in Copenhagen from the Czech national round, which was held in March 2019 in Olomouc and organized by CzechInvest. “The jury also liked the Kenyan support initiative. Snuggs sends her panties to girls who would be forced to stay at home during their menstruation and miss out on study lessons, "CzechInvest's deputy, Natalia Babjukova, said.
For example, the American businesswoman Ingrid Vanderveldt, who is at the forefront of the Empowering and Billion Women by 2020 initiative, attended the event. The Czech Ambassador to Denmark, Radek Pech and representatives of CzechInvest, supported the competition. “It was a challenging day full of presentations, lectures and networking that we enjoyed. We are thrilled to be in such a great competition, ”Šejdová said.
