Operator O2 will
in 2H 2021 switch off older 3G networks in the Czech Republic (in Prague at the
end of May). This will happen gradually in three phases. It will continue the
development of the 4G network and the construction of 5G technology. By the end
of 1Q
2022, the operator
plans to cover the entire territory of the capital city of Prague with the
fastest 5G network. Coverage will then continue in other district cities. The
European supplier of new technology for the mobile network co-selected by CETIN
is Ericsson.
