The Czech
University of Agriculture (ČZU) is launching the Smart Forest Landscape project
in cooperation with T-Mobile Czech Republic. According to the operator, the
project is unique on a pan-European scale, as it will enable the use of
technologies such as 5G and IoT to study the evolution of nature and thus adapt
to ongoing climate change. Among other things, the cooperation aims to develop
biodiversity or find ways to retain water in the landscape for future
generations. The project is being developed in the forest landscape near
Kostelec nad Černými lesy on ca. 1700 ha of forest land along the Jevanský
potok stream.
