Detectors from Czech company will protect crew on the Moon.

Czech company ADVACAM will participate in NASA’s mission to the Moon. Its objective is to solve the question of protecting the crew against the adverse effects of cosmic radiation. ADVACAM’s detectors will be transported to the Earth’s natural satellite by Intuitive Machine’s unmanned flight in the first quarter of 2022. The MiniPIX TPX3 detector is the result of collaboration between the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics at the Czech Technical University in Prague and Switzerland’s CERN. This technology was also developed in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA) for use in space.
