Agricultural production increased to CZK 147bn (approx. 5,7bn EUR)

Czech agriculture production on its 5 years record level.

According to preliminary data for 2020, Czech agriculture reached the highest value of production of the past five years, namely CZK 147bn at basic current prices (approximately 5,7bn EUR). This is stated in the Report on the State of Agriculture for 2020, which was approved by the government on August 23, 2021. The document also informs that total expenditures to support the agricultural sector increased by 8.2 % y/y to CZK 74.6bn. Of total expenditure, support directly to agricultural enterprises increased by 6.1 % to CZK 52.6bn. At the end of 2020, there were 4,665 organic farmers and 865 organic food producers in the Czech Republic. The share of organically farmed land in the total area of agricultural land was 15.3 %.
