The Czech Republic and Slovakia are often farther along in the implementation of robots into production than established economies. This was reported by COFACE, according to which for example in the automotive industry in Slovakia 10 % of companies use robots. In German 4 % are recorded. Czech companies in the computer and electronics sector cite the same share of robot use as German and French companies. General manager Ján Čarný stated that further growth of automation and digitization are key for maintaining competitiveness and increasing productivity. He added that for the Czech Republic he sees once the coronavirus crisis ends potential to attract a transfer of production from abroad in the electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical and logistics industries.
