The European Commission granted Czech company FUTTEC a subsidy of EUR 1.8m for implementation of activities leading to the commercialization of microwave technology for repair of asphalt surfaces. Mobile device FT3 is a patented system for seamless sealing of potholes in roads. It was developed in cooperation with the Chemical Processes Institute at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. FUTTEC board of directors chairman and executive Jiří Rušikvas stated that the funds will be used to perfect the solution for repairing potholes with the aim of introducing it to the Czech and international markets.
