Nexen Tire ceremonially opens plant at Triangle

On August 28, 2019, Korean company Nexen Tire ceremonially opened its first European tire-production plant at the Triangle Industrial Zone in Žatec.

It was launched in trial operation in April 2019. Until the end of 2019, the plant should send off up to 3m tires. By 2022, Nexen expects production capacity to increase to up to 11m tires per year. Today, the company employs 850 persons in Žatec. In 2022, the plant plans to offer up to 1,300 jobs. This information was provided by the Ústí Region (ULK).
