E-commerce turnover in the Czech Republic reached CZK 58.5bn in the first three months of 2022, up 9% year-on-year. Moreover, the Czech market grew by 2,532 online stores in Q1. This is according to Shoptet data, which indicate that in January and the first three
weeks of February, e-shops recorded an average growth of 11%. In late February and March, due to the beginning of the war in Ukraine,
this growth slowed down to 5%. Overall, there are 54,517 e-shops in the Czech Republic, according to Shoptet. The company itself surpassed the 30,000 e-shops on its platform in the first quarter.
