Škoda Transportation invests in new paint shop, machining centre and new production lines for Škoda Vagonka company.

Škoda Transportation invests CZK 1bn in Škoda Vagonka ŠkodaTransportation will spend CZK 1bn in 2021 on expanding the production of Škoda Vagonka. A new paint shop will be created for CZK 300m, together with a CZK 100m machining centre. Production lines will be acquired for CZK 200m and other machines for CZK 70m. The investment also includes the purchase of land. Škoda Vagonka currently has 30,000 m2 of lots. Thanks to the purchase of land and the rental of halls in Vítkovice, the company will have a total area of 60,000 m2. The expansion of the number of assembled cars per month and a fivefold increase in the production of rough aluminium structures. The company will work mainly on electrical units for customers in the Czech Republic, Slovakia or Latvia and push-pull sets for the Moravian-Silesian Region.
