Honeywell’s researchers together with scientists from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering ČVUT developed new algorithms for management and optimisation of heat pumps bringing improved economic return.

The project was financially supported (CZK 13.5m) by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA ČR). According to TA ČR Chairman Petr Konvalinka, heat pumps reduce the consumption of electricity and amount of harmful emissions; however, end users are discouraged by high prices and long return periods. The goal of the project is to raise the share of heat pumps of the market thanks to the reduction in the electricity consumption and improvement of the environmental impact.
