Vehicle production catching up with losses in Czech Republic; down by 23.7 % by Sept

Czech Automobile Industry Association published new data of vehicle production.

Between the start of 2020 and September the production of road vehicles in the Czech Republic reached 835,082 vehicles, down 23.7 % y/y. Of this total, 813,085 units were motor vehicles (-24.2 %). This was reported by the Automobile Industry Association (AutoSAP), according to which production is in 3Q catching up with losses caused by spring suspensions. The gradual easing was aided by production in summer months and in September. Production of passenger vehicles reached 808,279 units during these nine months (-24.3 %). In September alone it reached 119,722 vehicles (-4.5 %). ŠKODA AUTO registered growth of 2.5 %. In the nine months, 3,516 buses (-7.8 %) and trucks 911 (+7.2 %) were manufactured.
