After four years of development and modernisation, Aero Vodochody AEROSPACE has performed a flight of the L-159 T2X aircraft prototype. The aircraft manufacturer developed a new wing and an integral tank. These innovations will extend the range and enable the company to increase the number of usable wing pylons. It also plans to integrate completely redesigned avionics and precise weapons technology against ground targets. The L-159 aircraft is used by the armed forces of the Czech Republic and Iraq and by Draken Europe. In total, Aero has so far manufactured 86 aircraft in various configurations.
