SKODA AUTO Invests in Robots Amid Pandemic

ŠKODA AUTO invested EUR 444m in 9M 2020, down 40.4% y/y. The company informed that it continues to be strongly affected by the effects of the anti-pandemic measures. As part of Industry 4.0, it introduced robots at the Kvasiny and Vrchlabí plants. It also developed the Optikon AI logistics application, which uses artificial intelligence to optimize the loading capacity of containers. It is also currently testing biodegradable packaging films.
