Czech breweries’ production for the domestic market decreased by 3.16% in 9M 2019. As a result, the total output dropped by 1.22%. On the other hand, exports increased by 4.33%. The decline in domestic market is mainly due to the weather, which was exceptionally warm last year and helped record sales, which this repeated. The proportion of draught beer decreased to 37%. Half of the consumption is made of lagers, about 45% is lighter draft beers and 5% is non-alcoholic beers, beer mixes and specials. The information was provided by the Czech Beer and Malt Association (ČSPS), according to which tanks, barrels and glass bottles account for 75% of domestic consumption.
