Czech Railways (ČD) is readying the reconstruction of the B-tract of the Masaryk Railway Station in Prague. The estimated price is approximately CZK 100m. This was stated by ČD’s deputy board chairman Radek Dvořák, according to whom the Art Nouveau columned hall on the ground floor will be repaired and the rooms on the floors will serve as dormitories for employees and offices. ČD has now opened new cash registers and a waiting room and luggage storage will also be built in the coming weeks. The total costs for the repair of the station, which the company carries out together with Penta Real Estate, will exceed CZK 250m.
