Gross domestic product in 3Q 2021 has increased by 2.8% y/y.

Gross domestic product in 3Q 2021 was estimated by the Czech Statistical Office to have increased by 2.8% y/y. Growth was driven exclusively by domestic demand, especially household final consumption expenditure and gross capital formation. Government final consumption expenditure also rose. In contrast, exports of goods declined. Growth in gross value added (GVA) was most strongly influenced by developments in the trade, transport, accommodation, and food services industry group. Employment was 0.6% higher y/y.
