Industrial production in the Czech Republic grew by 4.0% y/y in real terms in December 2022, and by 1.7% y/y in the whole of last year. The most significant contribution to the December growth was made by the production of motor vehicles (+30%). The value of new orders increased by 10.1% y/y.

The average number of registered employees in industry decreased by 0.6%, while average gross monthly nominal wages increased by 7.8%. Czech Statistical Office data also show that industrial production was 0.2% higher m/m.
