(ČIA) The total revenues of the music industry in the Czech
Republic in 2021 increased by 19.5 % y/y to CZK 1.43bn. The market grew despite
the ongoing pandemic. The leader was streaming services, which recorded an
increase of 37 %. The Czech National Group of the International Federation of
the Music Industry (CNS IFPI) informed about it. Last year, digital music
consumption prevailed. The ratio of digital sales to physical media sales is
79:21. Revenues from digital sales increased by 35 %. Streaming services such
as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer and Amazon Music are available
in the Czech Republic.
