Czech GDP will grow by 2.3% in 2022. In 2021, economic
growth was 3.3%. This is according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF),
which expects GDP in the Czech Republic to increase by 4.2% in 2023. Unemployment
in the country will fall from 2.8% to 2.5% y/y this year and reach 2.3% next
year. Inflation, which was 3.8% in 2021, will accelerate to 9.0% and reach 2.3%
in 2023. In Slovakia, consumer prices will rise by 8.4% this year and 4.1% next
year. In the euro area, inflation will be 5.3% in 2022, slowing to 2.3% a year
later.
