Company invests CZK 140m to expand facilities for research and development of new construction materials

Czech company Profibaustoffe CZ, a manufacturer and supplier of construction raw materials and products, is investing more than CZK 140m in a new multifunctional centre in Brno. In addition to increasing the capacity of the warehouse, there will be expanded facilities for research and development of new materials, including the development of material for 3D printing in the construction industry.

The company is also cooperating with the Brno University of Technology on research. This partnership provides students with practical experience while allowing Profibaustoffe CZ access to innovative ideas from experts in the field. The expansion project is expected to bring significant economic benefits both directly and indirectly through increased employment opportunities, increased purchasing power among local residents, higher tax revenues for local governments, and greater investment potential throughout the region. “Our commitment to this project demonstrates our dedication to being a leader in the construction materials industry," said Petr Dvořák, CEO of Profibaustoffe CZ

The investment is part of Profibaustoffe CZ’s strategy to diversify its portfolio and increase capacity. The expansion will not only increase the warehouse capacity but also provide expanded facilities for research and development of new materials, including the development of material for 3D printing in the construction industry. “This expansion project marks a major milestone for our company as we continue to grow and innovate," said Petr Dvořák, CEO of Profibaustoffe CZ. “We are committed to providing our customers with the best quality products and services possible. This new centre will enable us to do just that by increasing our capacity while simultaneously making room for research and development initiatives that further enhance our offerings."

The new centre will be built on an area of 1,200 m2 on the company's existing premises. It is scheduled to be launched in mid-2023, with an opening in early 2024.
