Czech army wants new vehicles, will modernise existing ones

The Czech Ministry of Defence is planning to purchase about 70 new Pandur combat transporters and to fundamentally modernise more than 100 existing ones, which will mainly be replaced with new gun turrets. The Czechoslovak Group holding company is interested in winning what is probably the largest order for the Czech army in the history of the arms group. According to preliminary estimates, it may reach CZK 15-20bn, of which about a third will go to the supplier of the turrets. (Source: www.cianews.cz/en)
