Czech energy sector ranks 16th globally

In its latest global report, the World Energy Council has ranked the Czech Republic’s energy sector 16th globally. In the energy security, the country is ranked 10th in the world.

Czech Republic ranked 16th out of 128 national energy companies rated by the World Energy Council (WEC). It moved to the top 20 from 21st place in 2018. The World Energy Trilemma rankings measure three basic parameters: energy security, sustainability and affordability. In energy security, it has been ranked 10th in the world. The Czech Republic achieved an AAB balance score as it improved by 52% in the area of environmental sustainability, which is the fifth best result among the countries under review.
