American cosmic agency NASA annually holds prestigious competition NASA iTech which awards the best technological devices in the world. This year, Czech batteries HE3DA which were created by Czech scientist Jan Procházka made it to the finale of ten best projects.

NASA iTech will judge projects regarding four main categories - energy storage, breakthrough medical discoveries, radiation protection and mitigation, and hardware. Finally, there will be three winning teams which will be offered with long-term consultancy that will help to further develop these projects for commercial market.

Czech Batteries HE3DA experienced such a great success mainly because they allow innovative energy storage for planetary surface modules and reduce dependancy on other systems. Other advantages include quick charging time and safety. According to creators, it is the safest Lithium battery in the world.
